Toby and I

I always give an update on the kids and thought I better talk about Toby and I once.  Really not as interesting as hearing about our cute kids...or most days...cute kids! LOL
Toby has been staying busy at work.  He just recently hired another IT guy to help him with his department.  It is always amazing how the work load grows and grows over time.  Praise the Lord Toby's company is growing instead of laying off.  We are always thankful for how the Lord provides for us!  Toby also gets to work with his sister Robbi a few days a week.  It is great for him to be in Rock Valley so close to his family and friends.  In fact, he has several good friends down the road who he loves to visit or have dinner with at Town and Country.  Evan, Justin, Don, George.  His dinner dates are endless options in RV!  I even get there every now and then to go to Stone Soup!  mmmmmm.
Toby also stays busy at home working on a few tasks here and there on his computer.  He recently just finished a very large program called Farm Filer.  It is really cool!  He also stays busy with the Trinity Tech Committee and our Church Sound Committee.  Our new church was just recently completed in Hull and there were lots of new things to learn and gadgets to play with!  They have the sound booth up and in full functioning.  It took a few months to get all the corks out, but they sure did a good job!  They also just recently got our sermons and church services on live audio and video on sermonaudio.com.  You can now watch our church services live on your computer or i-pad.  It is AMAZING.  Check it out!
As most already know Toby and I are expecting our third baby the end of March.  I am now 23 weeks along today.  The first 13 weeks were again very rocky and tough, but again the Lord sustained us and helped us through this trial.  I always get very sick from 6 weeks to around 13 weeks.  I pertty much sleep by the toilet and don't leave.  Toby had 2 roles to fill. His own as a father and mine as a mother.  He would work all day and come home and have to clean the house, feed the kids, and put everyone to bed and even do some laundry.  Thankfully my mom took over most of that!  The church family to sent some food over which was very much appreciated.  Those 7 weeks seemed like an eternity when you are in the midst of it but when you look back you are amazed how fast it went to....I can't believe i'm even writing that!!!!  The first part of my pregnancy's are always hard on me emotionally,  physically, spiritually, and mentally.  I just am glad I know I always have Christ to take me through these trials and bring me back from my stupor.  Of course a great loving family helps too!  I am happy to say most days i'm feeling great and some days just okay.  The "most days"  is the best part about that sentence.  I still have blaah days but who doesn't???  I am looking so forward to holding this baby in my arms I can hardly wait.  I think this is the least impatient I have been with any pregnancy.  I have that baby itch and just need to hold that precious child in my arms.   This past week we just had our ultrasound.  Toby and I went together and it was so fun.  I think it makes it real again for Toby when he can see the little baby moving inside me continuously   The little head, fingers, toes and bones are sooooo amazing.  We are So Excited to have another rug rat in the house!!!!
Other than that the only thing new with me is I just went casual at work, which basically means NO MORE WEEKENDS!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!  Toby said our kid are growing to fast and with another one on the way there was no way he was taking 3 to church by himself!  HA...I wouldn't either, two is hard enough.  I am still working one shift a week and enjoy this.  I still love being a nurse and caring for all different kinds of  people.  I am just very excited I can enjoy all my weekends with my family now.
I continue to pick a little at my sewing.  I recently just finished another baby blanket for when the new baby comes.  I still need to finish Aubyn's dress, which is now to small for her. HA...but oh well. Now I will have to make another one right?  I am no pro by any means but I did have a friend ask me to mend something for her the other day.  Little did she know she actually made me feel a little special.  Maybe my grandma and mom actually do like it when I ask them to fix things??? :).  Else no new hobbies for me :(.
Thank you all who ever reads this blog.  It is mainly for me to look back at many years from now and read about my kids, but I am happy to share with whom ever wants to take time to read it.  Just one thing.....Don't get mad at all my grammar and spelling issues because they probably won't get any better! HA  At least I have spell check :).......

School Days, School Days

Yes, our little guy is in Kindergarten this year!  When I held Trey in my arms as a baby I remember thinking,"I wonder what kind of little boy he will grow up to be."  and now I hold him on my lap and think, " I wish my little boy would stop growing."  The time has gone by WAY to FAST.  I know I keep saying this over and over but the time really does slip away.
Trey has been in school now for a few months.  It is AMAZING to see how much he has learned!  He is getting really good and his letters, learning lots of Bible stories, and even SOUNDING OUT WORDS.  He brings these little books home from the teacher with "sight words" that they are learning.  At first they were all his sight words and now he is even sounding out new words.  Reading in Kindergarten.  WOW!  Everywhere we go now he looks for his "sight words" or words he can sound out.  He is asking us how to spell things and even spelling some by himself on his pictures. They are not always correct, but you can tell what he was trying to write.  It is just amazing to me to see how their little minds develop and grow in knowledge.  His favorite part of school is of course recess.  He tells me he plays a lot of ball tag.  He says he is fast! :).  For a few weeks some boys were taking their tractors and wagons to school and playing with them in the mud and dirt.  What a little guy's dream right??? :) I guess the principle put an x-nay on the tractors when they started sending them down the slide.  HA..boys will be boys.
Trey continues to love to draw pictures of pirate boats, planes, batman, and ninja's.  The detail he has to his pirate boats and airplanes are amazing.  I should really take a picture of something he draws in church and post it on here.  He also loves to continue to color.  Him and Aubyn could spend an hour at the counter everyday coloring together.  He to stays in the lines so well.  I hope he continues to care about detail.
Trey also likes to play on the i-pad.  He plays angry birds of course, and many other apps.  He plays this shark attack game (which I am not a fan of), matching games, coloring games, takes pictures of things and turns then into a crazy design with this special app.  He also Loves using the smart board at school.  Another favorite game is "wild Krats" on the computer.  He can navigate himself to the right site by typing a few letters in the address bar and get to where he needs to play his games.  The Krat game is like the PBS show "Wild Krats."  Its about 2 brothers who explore animals in the wild and turn into the animals they are studying for the day.  I even like watching it. LOL.
Trey just recently got a new pair of REAL cow boy boats.  Toby had gotten a pair for working outside and Trey has always wanted some to work on the farm like Grandpa George.  It was so fun for the first few weeks.  He would get all his cowboy gear on..which was... boats, ripped jeans, flannel plaid shirt, leather cowboy vest that Toby wore when he was little, cowboy hat and a rope around his pant loop (which was a plastic snake).  He looked just like a little cowboy.  He would pull around this fake horse and tie his rope to it and bring it to the pasture and tie it to the fence.  He would feed and water it and treat it like a real horse. It was so fun to see his imagination at work.  And of course a little cowgirl had to join the fun which was even more fun seeing them play together.  She too in her cowgirl apparel....same as Trey's.  Oh to be little again!!!
Trey loves to read his books at night yet.  He listens so intently and asks questions sometimes.  We then do his sight word book we are supposta read every night and then review his memory verse.  Thankfully by Thrusday he knows his memory verse!  This month we are adding many Christmas songs to his nightly routine and I pray the Lord helps this mother teach him all these songs because there are a TON of them!  But it is so fun to hear his little manly voice sing!

2 Year old FUN

Life continues to only go faster and faster over here.  Aubyn is growing just as fast!!!!  What a little lady!

We are officially potty trained and have been for a while.  She was officially trained during September.  what a relief.  I really was not ready for her to be trained, but when a girl wants to go on the potty you can't say NO :).  She basically trained herself with of course some reinforcement at times, but she did great.  It is so crazy to leave the house without a diaper bag or even a little bag with extra cloths in it.  All I have to worry about is that we have coats and shoes on.  So crazy. You think that day seems far away while your packing a diaper bag every time to go away, but now I just can't believe how big of girl she is.
Aubyn continues to be our fun loving, wild, and crazy girl.  She is talking non-stop.  She catches on to EVERYTHING.  She looks up to Trey and wants to play with him all the time.  She LOVES when Trey plays babies with her.  I will catch them in Trey's room with blankets on the floor.  Trey is taking care of his stuffed gorilla and puppy and Aubyn is of course taking care of her babies.  He favorite baby continues to be "Lydia."  She carries her in an infant baby car seat like we do our real babies, except it's just her size.  Everywhere we go Lydia needs to come in the car seat.  To church, grocery store, grandma's.  At least I have her talked into leaving Lydia in the van! BUT we still have to take her purse in!  Still her favorite thing in the whole world is her purse and all her nick nacks in it.  Books, cell phone, baby blanket, pipe, bottle and anything a baby may need.  She really is a good little mommy.  She always has everything a baby may need in her purse!
With the Christmas season approaching we put up our tree the other night. Aubyn had so much fun making the tree beautiful with me!  She LOVED finding her ordinments and hanging them on the tree.  Now it is great fun when we have to go away that SHE gets to shut the lights off on the tree.  I love having a 2 year old around to climb into those little places, specially when my belly is growing bigger everyday (23 weeks along and counting down everyday!).  She also is starting to love "Jingle Bells" of course.  She hears Christmas songs on the radio and starts to sing her own version of them which of course is very amusing  It starts with Christmas and ends up about her dolls or daddy or something totally unrelated.
Aubyn also is starting to get into the girly stuff.  She loves getting new bows, earings, or necklace. In fact, she just informed me she wants a watch just like mine for her "burfday (bithday).  She always wants everything for her "burfday."  She doesn't like when we have to put a pony tail in though,  "just a bow mom,  just a bow." she will say.  She loves putting on my lipstick while i'm doing my make-up.  It has been fun to see her first start with lip gloss all over her chin and lips to now mostly just on her lips.  She would love to put on more than clear lip gloss but that will NOT happen until she's 18!!! :).  She loves to sit on the counter in the bathroom and ask me, "why you put that on your face mom?  why you put that on your eyes mom?  why you put that there, mom?"  She watches every detail of everything!
She also continues to love to color.  She can stay in the lines pertty well already! I am amazed at how well she does.  She really does look at detail. She always has from very young. She does not miss a beat and she makes sure her mom does not either.  When we go away she always makes sure I have my purse, or a snack along for her, or if I need to clean something.  I hope this eye continues and she will LOVE to keep her room clean as she gets older. HA.HA.
She also loves singing.  Her favorite song before bed is Wheels on the Bus.  We have to sing a little different version.  We sing about each one of our family members.  Jason on the bus says "eat my cows."  Robbi on the bus says, "let's go shopping."  Kenna on the bus says, "Lets play i-pod." Dyson on the bus says," let's play ball."  Breslyn on the bus says, "lets  play dolls."  Grandma Myrna on the bus says "I love you."  Grandpa Goerge says, "lets check pigs." Grandpa Bob says "We fix your panes."  Grandma Lori says, "I love you too."  Daddy says "lets go to work"  Trey says, "lets go to school." Aubyn says, "Honk honk honk."  Mommy says, "shhhh, shhh, shhh."  Chad says," I tickle you!" And we just recently added our new baby on the bus says "waa, waa, waa."  We have lots of people on our bus and we thank God for all these same people every night!  She also is starting to request "Thy word" "BIBLE", and of course she knows how to sing "Jesus Loves Me."
A couple months ago we got two full size cats from a friend of Toby's.  We named them Mugs and Hunter.  Hunter is Trey's cat and Mugs Aubyn's.  It is fun to see how Aubyn interacts with the cats.  She loves to feed them, pet them and play with them. Everyday for an hour since we got them she asks to get her coat and boats on so she can go play with the cats in the garage.  It is fun to hide behind the door and watch her secretly. She just sits and lets them rub against her. Talks to them in a soft nice voice.  Then she carries them all over creation. (poor cats).  It's amazing how they just sit there and let her do whatever to them.  She has gotten scratched, but for the most part they love her as much as she loves them.
Technology....Wow have these kids just blown me out of the water with their abilities.  Aubyn loves to steal my phone form me and find my photos and page through them.  It is amazing that she can find how to get them and then look through them.  Toby also just recently got an i-pad and Aubyn knows how to get to Netflix and watch a pony movie or Dora movie.  She also knows how to play several games.  She does this puzzle game where you match the pieces to the empty spot and she does great!  She could play on this thing all evening if we would let her.  "Daddy, may I play on your i-pad."  This is what she says the minute Toby walks through the door...haha.  feel the love huh!
A little memory I have to throw in this blog is Aubyn just recently got new tennis shoes because her feet are growing like crazy.  She is already in a size 8!  We put her new tennis shoes on and she stood up and said, "There mom, NOW I can go to school like Trey!"  Oh, I laughed and smiled.  The minute Trey got on the bus for school this year she wanted to go too.  Everyday Trey gets on the bus she says, "I want to ride the bus and go to school like Trey."  I really think she thought with her new tennis shoes she was going to go to school now.  It was sooooo cute and broke my little heart,  BUT i'm very glad she is still at home with me!  No need for my kids getting bigger faster than they already do!
My favorite time with Aubyn is in the morning when she crawls into my bed and snuggles with me.  She HAS to have her head on the same pillow as me and has to be right next to my face.  She sometimes rubs my hair or my arm.  She gives me kisses all over my face and thinks this is SO FUNNY.  I remember when Trey was little and would come snuggle in my bed in the morning too.  He now is more interested in morning cartoons than to snuggle with his mom,  but occasionally he too will come and we all 3 snuggle together.  These are my most Favorite times.  I made Trey promise that no matter how big he gets he will always snuggle with him mom every now and then.  Trey agreed of course...my loving little boy!  I know I will make Aubyn make this promise when she gets a bit bigger too!!!

Vacation Lake Poinsett 2012

Last week were on vacation at Lake Poinsett, SD.  It is about 3 hours away. We stayed at a friend's lake cabin with Steve and Tonia, Nate and Lisa, Evan and Kim.  We had 11 children from the ages of 1 to 10.  It was SO MUCH FUN!  Evan and Kim took their speed boat and Steve took his dad's fishing boat.  We went from a Monday to a Friday.  The whole week was hot and sunny!

Monday morning Toby went fishing and he caught Walleye and lots of them! I think he may have caught 5 fish in about 2 hours.  He was on cloud nine.  The rest of the days we did much of the same thing..boat, swim, nap, fish and soak up a lot of sun. Just how vacation is meant to be :).  All the big girls learned how to ski, all the big kids knee boarded, Evan learned how to wake board! Kim and I went on a crazy tube ride that made us feel like a kid for around 5 minutes and around 30 for the next 5 day, but it was SO worth it!  All the mom's skied, the dad's wake boarded and skied, the men fished with the occasional kid along and we all ate a lot!  It was a great week.

On Wednesday we went to the Children's Brookings Museum.  It basically was a great big play yard for the kids.  They had everything that real life has but a condensed version for the kids. Like: a grocery store, a farm, an ice cream parlor, a news anchor place, huge blocks to build with, a mechanic shop with a car you could work on, a water thing, a music room, an art room, dinosaur park, and just about anything you could think of. It was great seeing our children run around trying to play with EVERYTHING.  We were there 4 hours and the kids had a blast.

Trey tubed with his friends which was a big surprise. He is getting more daring everyday.  My little boy is growing up....sniffle sniffle.  At first he wasn't so sure about it, but if Carter is going to do it then it must be okay.  The first time he went granny speed but by the last day he was going "no hands" like the rest of them :).  Another thing he started to do is jump of the dock with his life jacket.  He doesn't even need to plug his nose.   He runs and jumps and goes down and resurfaces with a smile on his face. He also swam and swam and swam on vacation. He was in the water more than he was out of the water!  Trey also learned how to play a kindle with apps on them.  He played games like angrybirds, a train game, and anything that the older kids showed him.  He now wants and i-pad or kindle for his birthday. You can about imagine how proud his dad was when he told him that :)!  Trey went to bed great every night.  He played so hard everyday that he was just exhausted by bedtime.  He had a great vacation just like the rest of us!

"Where's Me?" and "Kickle Me!"

Aubyn is 27 months now and growing more into a little lady everyday.  If she had any say about this she would say she is a "pincess" (princess). On vacation at village west I found a t-shirt with a princess on it and it had a real tutu that came out of the t-shirt.  I brought it in the condo and held it up and said, "Aubyn, look I got you a new t-shirt."  Aubyn looked up in amazement and said, "pincess" all starry eyed.  It was SO CUTE!  For the next 3 days she had to wear her "pincess" shirt!

Aubyn is also getting such a fun personality.  The other day at grandpa Goerge's house we were talking about wet willy's.  Grandpa asked what a wet willy was and I told Aubyn to go show grandpa what it was.  She walked up to grandpa and licked her finger long and wet and stuck it right in his ear. She laughed and said "wet wildy." Grandpa laughed and laughed. He then licked his finger and came after Aubyn and she covered both her ears screaming out of pure joy and started  running away from Grandpa.  Oh, how we all laughed.

Another game she loves to play is hide under a blanket or in my curtains or where ever and say, "Where's Me?" and then she laughs.  It's so fun to hear them have such joy in a simple game.  She also loves to be tickled.  "Kickle me mama" is something I hear multiple times a day.  Just recently we taught her our passwords for me to stop tickling her.  They are "I love you mama, and Uncle." So the second after I start tickling her she saying "I love you mama."  I can't complain...I will take I love you no matter what form it's in!:).

Aubyn also just recently got her ears pierced.  I had been thinking about it for a while but didn't know if I wanted to do it at such a young age.  Well, Saturday we were going to the eye doctor for Trey and I asked Toby if he cared if I got her ears pierced today.  He said go ahead.  So after the Doctor we stopped by Aunt Josie's shop and checked if there were enough girls there to do it.  She had no idea what was coming. We marked her ears they were both put in at the same time.  She cried a bit and then was happy to receive her sucker.  She moped a few times that day, but she did Great.  Now she really looks like a Big Girl :(.

As Aubyn grows I know she is going to be my little helper.  A lot of times when it's time to go somewhere I will say, "Okay kids, let's go."  Aubyn will stop and look at me and say, "you got my bapack (backpack) mom?"  This is her diaper bag and I cannot believe she knows that we need it everywhere we go :).  Also,  one time we were going to go to the park and Toby was still sitting in the chair.  Aubyn goes and gets his shoes and brings them to him and says, "daddy you need your shoes on."  This little girl knows how things role :).

This week Aubyn has been kind of funny adding a "y" on to everything.   When it's time to go swimming she says, "mom, I need me tubby."  When she is thirsty she says, "Mom, I need a drinky."  When she wants to go out side she needs her "shoey" on.  I don't know where she picked this up but I sure hope it don't last long. LOL.

Aubyn still continue to love her dolls: Lydia, Brooklyn and Dorda(Dora).  She carries her puse (purse) around on one arm and her doll in her other. Her and Trey sometimes hid out in her room/closet playing dolls, putting them to sleep, and being mom and dad.  It is so fun to hide around the corner and watch their little minds in action.

Another thing that is so funny about Aubyn is sometimes she just acts like a little adult.  She will be doing something and you will tell her to pick it up when she is done and she looks right at you and says, "k."  And then she does it too.  If she finds my shoes in her room she will bring them to me.  I will tell her to go put them in my room and she will go into my closet and put them on my shoe rack as nice as can be.  If I would have asked Trey to do this he would have chucked them in my room. It's so funny the differences between girls and boys.  But I really do appreciate them all.

We have also been doing some potty training at our house.  On vacation to Village West a few weeks ago Aubyn decided she wanted to go on the potty.  She told Grandma Myrna that she had to go potty and ONLY Grandma Myrna could take her.  So off they went to the BR and she went!  Since then she wakes up dry every morning and goes a TON on her little potty.  We wear princess pull-ups and panties most of the day and we can stay dry some days and have a lot of accidents other days.  At her 2 year old check up I read a paper that said every time a child tells you that she is dirty, don't scorn them and say you should go on the potty, but thank them for telling you that they were dirty.  I started doing that and 2 weeks later she wanted to go on the potty.  Wow...how amazing, well,  or LUCKY :).  We by far are not leaving the house without a pull-up or diaper on yet, but she is doing GREAT!

I reflect now on my children playing with their motorcycles on the floor.  Laughing with each other and occasionally yelling at each other and Thank God for their little personalities everyday.  They have such great joy in the smallest things, well, also great pitty in small things too, but they are such joys. As they interact with each other I can see the great love they have for each other.  Yesterday I caught them both snuggling in the chair together. I wish I would have gotten a picture b/c it was SO CUTE.  They are just little bodies that know SO MUCH.

Big Boy Bike

Well....Since Aubyn get a post for a Big Bed...Trey gets a post for a Big Bike..

At the start of the hot weather I got Trey's little 12 in. bike out and took the training wheels off.  I was bound and determined this kids was going to ride this bike without his training wheels.  Oh...a mother is proved wrong again no matter how determined she is....:)  We tried on the grass, we tried on the cement, we tried on the bike trail, we tried with all our protective gear on, lets just say WE TRIED and TRIED. Trey was to scared and his bike was just toooo little for him to balance on.  So. ..Toby and I decided to get him a bigger bike.  The next week when I was in town I bought a 16in. bike at Walmart.  I took it home and surprised Trey with a red, rocket, bike. He was sooooo excited and so was mom because we were again that much closer to riding without training wheels.
Well.....Mom was wrong again. We put all our protective gear on, hit the bike trail again.  Trey could go 50 yards on his own when I was running next to him, but the minute I would stop...he would stop too.  Then we kept going...we kept trying.  He could then ride his bike straight 50 yards without me running beside him. I was so proud. BUT this kids would not try it by himself, would not let me keep the training wheels off, and let his bike sit in the garage when I refused to put them back on.  Oh...this mother was proved wrong once again.  Trey had many tears that he was never going to do it and I was still determined he was.  Well....that night we went to bed and Trey told me his feelings were very hurt because he felt bad he could not ride his bike......in turn that means MY feelings were hurt twice as bad thinking how hard I pushed him, how I was so stubborn, and how bad I felt for being hard on my little man to ride a (dumb) bike. I was Hurt....this mother was proved wrong again!!!!!   So that night I told Trey that when HE was ready we would take one wheel off his bike and let him ride that way for a while. And then when HE was ready to take two wheels off his bike we would try our best again.  BUT only when he said he was ready!!!!  That night Trey says, "momma, i'm ready to take one wheel off of my bike tomorrow."  I said, "great we will do that."
Well, this morning....while I was mopping my back room floor with the garage doors open to the garage I heard some tools clinking.  I knew it was Trey getting a training wheel off his bike with the wrench,(he knew how to do it by himself  now b/c the training wheels had been on/off about 50 times by now) but I was very quiet and did not say anything.  Then I hear him ridding around.  Not ten minutes later I hear some more clinking of a wrench...Thinking "oh great he's putting the one back on!"  BUT.......Ten minutes later Trey comes running into the back room and says "Mom, come look I have a surprise for you."  I go outside with him and he gets on his bike with only two wheels (Not four, NOT THREE) but only TWO and gets on and rides and rides like he has been riding a bike for years.  Then he says, "look mom this is EASY."  Oh, what a proud moment I had this morning.  Proved wrong again by a little five year old!  I gave him a big hug and told him how PROUD I was of him.  He was grinning from ear to ear.  Trey never ceases to amaze me and I sure hope he continues to PROVE ME WRONG!!!!! Which I know he will!

bite my tongue

I come writing some thoughts today instead of updating my blog on my kids/family.  I titled this entry this b/c I feel it is a good reminder to MYSELF and others.
The definition of TONGUE according to the dictionary is  the movable muscular organ on the floor of the mouth; it is the chief organ of taste, and aids in mastication, swallowing, and speech.
The definition of TONGUE in the Bible is  "And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell." James 3:6 KJV

Apparently our tongue is a whole lot more than just a movable organ that aids in taste, speech, and swallowing.......it is in fact a little movable organ that can DEFILE our whole body.

I know for a fact that my own little tongue has done more than help me speak or taste.  I know this little organ has been used to gossip, yell, use angry and mean words, and even used to break down others behind their back.  Some days this little organ spirals out of control.  Some days this little organ is hard to control. Like days when your children fight....fight...all...day....long, some days when your co-workers are rude,  some days when your co-workers are lazy and you are working hard, some days when it feels like your co-workers take advantage of you because your little tongue does not know how to speak the word "no," some days when it feels like your husband is not responding to your "needs" or emotions, some days when it feels like your family members are taking advantage of you, some days when you ask somebody politely for a change in plans and they "politely" turn you down to have it their way AGAIN, or when you ask someone to finally do you a favor after you have been bending backwards for them for weeks and they say "NO, I don't have time," but it is especially hard to control that little tounge when you are spiritually drained or have not been doing your part to be spiritually connected to the one YOU are supposta be living for. HIM!

It is easy for me to give excuses why my tongue spirals out of control, but the one excuse i'm forgetting is ....or when I AM not doing my part to remember to be like Christ and remembering I AM supposed be living on this earth to serve HIM, not Satan or others.

I apologize, if the words out of my mouth have ever hurt anyone close to me or any of you poeple I did not know I  was hurting.  Lord, Help me to control this little organ inside my mouth, Lord, help me to use it to praise Thy name only. Help me to use it to build up those around me instead of break them down. Lord, help me use this little tongue to teach my children how to use it correctly.  Lord, help me to use this tongue to be meek and speak gently to those around me, whether it be my co-workers, children, friends, or husband.  Use my tongue to Thy will....oh LORD...I need your help daily.  Amen.

Trey playing with some friends.  Annica(princess) Trey (football player) Skyler(spider woman)!
Trey says that Aubyn is going to be his nurse some day.  How he catches on to this stuff I don't know. He also told me she had to carry the Doctor kit b/c that's what nurses do!

Aubyn after eating her Birthday cake.  She LOVED the frosting and licked that all off first.
Grandpa George stopping by for 9 a.m. coffee.  What a great morning!
First boat ride for Aubyn. She was not impressed with the life jacket!

Wedding

The first week in April we headed out with the whole Boogerd crew to Mexico to watch Bryce and Rachel join together in matrimony. About almost a year ago Bryce and Rachel approached their two families to see if we would all be willing to go to Mexico to watch them get married. We were very excited and said YES! Then reality sunk in after a bit and we started thinking we were all crazy. How was this ever going to work? How was everyone going to afford this? Will this actually happen?   Sure enough....Rachel started her investigation process and got everything lined up.  She sent us emails with costs, times, air ticket prices, dates, and ect....  All we had to do was say yes, provide a credit card number and Rachel had us all booked to go to the Moon Palace in Cancun.......CRAZY!!!!!  It seemed like forever away when we booked it but it came fast and soon enough we were ALL on the plane together flying to a beautiful beach.  This was the first time most of Toby's family had ever been out of the USA.  We were all excited but a little nervous to see how traveling with this many people would go.  Needless to say it was smooth sailing. Robert was calm and collected, Lori never threw up on the plane, we meant Josie's finance in Huston, no one lost their luggage, everyone remembered their passports, and no one ever got stopped to be searched. Everything was going in the right direction.

Finally, we made it to our bus to be taken to our Resort. The bus was air conditioned and the sun was shinning, life was good!!!!!  We got to our resort, checked in, the bell boy took our luggage to our room and from then on we never lifted a finger again.  Only to eat and drink of coarse :).  We meant in the lobby to head to supper all together with the Seitstra's and the food was great!  We had salad, grilled meat (what ever we wanted) and of course dessert.  We all made it safe and it was the beginning to a great week.

Each evening the Boogerd's went out for supper together and then attended the free entertainment for the evening. We would go to the lounge singer, disco, saw a magic show, karaoke, fire waving girls, and just hung out and enjoyed each others comapany.

Thursday was the wedding day.  In the morning the girls all had brunch together and then went and watched Rachel get ready!  She was a beautiful bride.  While they took pictures we all went back to our room to get showered up and ready for the wedding at 4pm.  The wedding was beautiful on the beach. The bride and groom were shinning in the sun!  It was a little bit windy but we all could hear everything perfect.  The boys sang a song while Rachel walked down the isle to Bryce and it was beautiful.  The preacher had a nice message and then we all touched Bryce and Rachel and prayed around them in a circle. This was very nice and very meaningful. Then we had a cocktail party and headed off to the reception at the Italian Restaurant. It was great fun and fellowship.

Toby and I had a wonderful week enjoying relaxation and just being us!  Toby let me have all our free resort points at the SPA and really spoiled me. I received a pedicure, manicure and 80 minute massage all for free! Let me tell you life was really great this week. Lori and Robert even said they could do this again!  All us girls never lifted a finger once to put a dish away, wash a dish, clean up food, cook or anything. It was pure relaxation.  We did miss our kids a lot, but it was also great to fellowship with us adults once too.  All in All everything went well and we are so happy to add Rachel to our family.  It was a long time coming and this just made it OFFICIAL :).  Welcome to the Boogerd Crew!!!!!!
